Refund and Return Policy

This Refund and Return Policy (“Policy”) applies to all payments made through SignUp Directory (“we,” “our,” or “us”), including listing fees, subscriptions, and advertising services. By making a payment, you agree to the terms outlined in this Policy.

1. Payment and Service Scope

1.1 All services purchased through SignUp Directory relate to:

Business directory listings

  • Featured or premium advertising placements
  • Subscription-based promotions

1.2 Payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways. All transactions are final unless expressly eligible for a refund under this Policy.

2. Refund Eligibility

2.1 Refunds may be considered only under the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate payments for the same service
  • Payment errors caused by technical issues on the website or payment gateway
  • Services not delivered as described due to platform errors

2.2 Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Change of mind or dissatisfaction with a listing or subscription after activation
  • Failure to provide accurate information during registration or payment
  • Rejection of a listing based on eligibility criteria or Terms & Conditions
  • User errors, including incorrect payment details or missed deadlines

3. Refund Request Process

3.1 To request a refund, businesses must submit a written request via hello@signup.directory, including:

  • Name and contact information
  • Payment reference number
  • Reason for the refund request
  • Supporting documentation, if applicable

3.2 Refund requests must be submitted within 14 calendar days of the payment date, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

3.3 We will review all requests and respond within 7 business days.

4. Refund Approval and Payment

4.1 If a refund request is approved, payment will be returned using the original payment method within 7–14 business days.

4.2 Any fees charged by the payment gateway or bank may be deducted from the refunded amount.

4.3 Approval of a refund does not guarantee reinstatement of any services or listings; businesses must re-register or purchase services separately if desired.

5. Subscription Cancellation

5.1 Subscription services can be cancelled at any time through the user account dashboard.

5.2 Cancelling a subscription will stop future billing, but no refunds will be issued for the current subscription period unless eligibility criteria in Section 2 are met.

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1 Refunds are limited to the amounts actually paid for the specific services purchased.

6.2 SignUp Directory is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost business opportunities or revenue.

7. Amendments

We may update this Refund and Return Policy at any time. Continued use of the website and payment services constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

8. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes arising from refund requests will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Cape Town Magisterial District.
